THIS BOOKLET IS AN INTERNET FILE THAT WILL BE SENT TO A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS for you to print your own copy.

In Horse-Showing Humor, author Pamela Britton-Baer takes you through her journey of the horse show world and a few funny antics along the way.

While many equestrians may think these thoughts, Pamela does a fantastic job narrating the trials and tribulations of horse showing, letting us know we are not alone.

" Putting together a horse-show wardrobe on a shoestring budget
" Cracking acronym codes in text messages and chat rooms
" Having a eureka! breakthrough moment during a show
" Conquering a new life goal and a new class
" Defying cold weather to tackle a horse show and make new memories
" Sharing your cherished horse with loved ones
" Showin' on a budget
" A reminder that horses are still animals with their own actions
" Some warm-up pen etiquette
" A message to never take life for granted
" Proof that everything happens for a reason
" Murphy's law: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong
" A little winter fun
" The woes of trying to lose that winter weight
" Helping with local rodeo queens
" Trying your hand at judging

Pamela's comedic spin on horse ownership speaks to all of us who have been there, done that. For instance:

"I hate winter. It's a fact of life that even though the temperatures might dip below freezing, barn chores never stop.

There's nothing like scooping frozen poop-sicles. Nothing like breaking ice off water and feeling as if you've touched liquid nitrogen. Nothing quite as fun as having those wet fingers touch frozen metal and knowing that you've just glued yourself to the side of the barn."

Pamela adds a twist to this life we live and love.

"I think the trouble with horse owners is that we grow complacent. We get comfortable with our steeds, forgetting that they are four-legged powder kegs that can blow at any moment."
